e.tv news & sport is a 24-hour TV news channel in South Africa owned by eMedia Holdings. It was launched on 1 November 2018 as Open News, and rebranded to e.tv news on 5 August 2019, before adopting its current name later that year.
It is present exclusively on the broadcaster’s free-to-air OpenView platform, and not on the paid DStv platform, which carries eNCA, the larger and more well-known English news channel of the broadcaster.
