eMovies Extra is a movie TV channel in South Africa owned by eMedia Holdings. It was launched on 14 October 2016, a day before the third anniversary of the broadcaster’s free-of-cost OpenView HD platform.[1]

eMovies Extra always had a red e.tv logo since its launch. On 10 November 2017, eMovies+ and eToonz+ dropped the multi-coloured squares and the + sign from their name, and introduced a uniform red square in their logos to match the parent e.tv channel (as well as eMovies Extra). This was done as part of the #OurWorldIsRed advertising campaign.[2]
2019–present[]

With the rebrand of e.tv on 1 April 2019, the other e.tv specialty channels changed the font in their logos from FS Albert to Montserrat.
