ESPN 4[]

In November 2021, The Walt Disney Company Latin America confirmed that Fox Sports would be renamed to ESPN 4 on December 1^[1], except in Argentina and Mexico where the channel was divested and is no longer owned by Disney.

In 2023, it was announced that the rest of the Fox Sports channels would be renamed to ESPN 6 and 7 beginning in February 2024.

In November 2023, Disney confirmed that it would completely phase out the Fox Sports brand in Latin America on February 15, 2024. ESPN 4 was renamed as ESPN 5, while ESPN Extra became ESPN 4.

As a result of the station's move to Detroit, WFRO in the Toledo market as well as another station in Northern Michigan (also on 900) were taken off the air to allow WFDF to increase its broadcast power.
