The historical date of the appearance of the EiTB signal in Europe, May 3, 2001, occurs five years after Euskal Telebista made its first satellite broadcast. That took place at 10 o'clock in the morning of June 3, 1996, on the occasion of the World Congress of Information Technologies that took place at the International Fair of Samples of Bilbao. 6 months later, on December 31, 1996, the first regular broadcasts of ETB to America began by this same system and today Canal Vasco is present in 20 countries and hundreds of cable operators in the Americas.

The logo was premiered one year before the corporate rebranding.

In 2015, a rebrand campaign was made for the four terrestrial channels, turning the EITB logo to black, altering the colors, and changing the number type font (Gotham Black). However, ETB Sat retained its logo and started using the graphic design from ETB 1 and ETB 2.
