Earache Records (first era)[]
1985–1987[]
Earache Records was founded in 1985 by Digby Pearson in Nottingham, England and became a pioneer in releasing some of the earliest grindcore and death metal albums. At this state, the company did not have a logo and only had their address.
1987[]
Earache established an early logo after their first few releases in 1987. It was quickly discontinued after the release of Scum by Napalm Death.
Earache Recordings[]
1987–1988 (primary)[]
Earache Records briefly renamed themselves to Earache Recordings in 1987 and created this logo for use on the back of the vinyl jackets and the labels for side B of the vinyl.
1987–1988 (secondary)[]
This logo was only used on the labels for side A of the vinyl.
Earache Records (second era)[]
1988–1989[]
Earache Recordings changed their name back to Earache Records, accompanied with a new logo.
1989–present (primary)[]
Earache redesigned their logo once again to the now iconic logo known by fans today.
1995–present (secondary)[]
This logo is rarely used and is mostly used for non-metal albums.
