Earth Hour is a movement created and organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature. The event is held worldwide annually since 2008, where individuals, businesses and communities turn off their non-essential electric light for 1 hour from 8:30-9:30 PM. on the last or penultimate Saturday of March. The event started in Sydney, Australia in 2007.
