El Grafico is the pictorial daily newspaper of El Universal, modeled after the New York Daily News of the United States. One year after the creation of its motto, "El gran diario de México," in February 1922, they published the first edition as an afternoon newspaper, primarily to photo journalism, as well as photos from headlines.
