El Mercurio is the national daily newspaper in Chile. First published in Valparaiso on September 12, 1827, and in Santiago de Chile on June 1, 1900. El Mercurio is one of the largest daily newspaper in Chile and the oldest in Latin America. It is edited in Santiago de Chile, printed and published simultaneously in 20 cities, including its sister publication, Las Últimas Noticias & La Segunda.
