El Mercurio is a national daily newspaper in Chile. First published in Valparaiso on September 12, 1827, and in Santiago de Chile on June 1, 1900, it is one of the largest Chilean daily newspapers and the oldest in Latin America. It is edited in Santiago de Chile and printed & published simultaneously in 20 other cities, including its sister publications Las Últimas Noticias & La Segunda.
1978–2006[]
The logo is used for campaigns and advertisements, with the wordmark being used io the paper's masthead.
2006–present[]
The logo was hidden in the variant version, keeping the wordmark appearing on the paper's masthead.
