What would become Elmer's Glue-All was introduced as "Cascorez" in 1943 by the Borden company. [1]

On April 22, 1951, Borden's Cascorez PVA glue was renamed "Elmer's". Elmer the Bull had been used in advertisements for Borden's dairy products since 1940. The Cascorez name continues to be used for industrial adhesives.
