Marshall Bruce Mathers III, better known by his stage name Eminem, and formerly known as M&M, is an American rapper born during October 1972 in Saint Joseph, Missouri. He started rapping in 1988 when he was between 15 and 16 and was signed by F.B.T Entertainment (Web Entertainment) in 1995. He released his debut studio album Infinite in 1996 which sold poorly. In 1997, Web dropped The Slim Shady EP, introducing Slim Shady. TSSEP did better and after winning 2nd place at the Rap Olympics, he was signed to Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment in early 1998. He is currently the best selling rapper in the US, selling over 200 million albums in the US with 2 going diamond.
