On 21 February 2013, Everton FC filed a monochrome version of this crest with the Intellectual Property Office.[1] It was officially unveiled on the club's website on 25 May 2013.[2] In a statement on their website, the club stated that this logo would only be in use for one season.[3]
2013-14 logo poll
In the 2013-14 season, three prototype logos were posted on the official website, for a vote to select the new logo to enter use in the 2014-15 season. These came complete with reversed versions.[4]
2014-present
In October 2013 the winner of the public vote to decide the new Everton FC logo was unveiled.[5] It entered use on 4 July 2014.[6]
