This logo was used up until the bankruptcy of ECW in 2001. It was revived for the 2005 and 2006 editions of the ECW One Night Stand PPV.
ECW (WWE revival)[]
2006–2008[]
WWE purchased ECW’s trademarks and library in 2002. On May 25, 2006, WWE officially announced that ECW would be relaunched as a stand-alone brand, congruent to Monday Night RAW and Friday Night Smackdown. It premiered on June 13, 2006 on the network Sci-Fi (later known as Syfy). Prior to the show’s premiere, WWE made the decision to cancel Velocity in favor of ECW.
2008–2010[]
Began usage when all WWE shows went HD.
On February 2, 2010, WWE chairman Vince McMahon announced that ECW would be canceled and replaced with a new weekly program that he described as “groundbreaking, original show.” The final episode aired on February 16, and a week before, the new show's name was announced as NXT.
