The Football Association Challenge Cup, also known as the FA Cup, and the Emirates FA Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a football tournament, in its current format, open to the top 9 levels of the English Football System, with about 729 teams competing in 14 rounds. Since its foundation in 1871-72, it is the oldest running football competition in the world, over 150 years.
The highlight of the tournament is the FA Cup Final, which, since 2007, was held at the new Wembley Stadium.
