On March 5, 2013, News Corporation announced that Speed would rebrand as a general sports network titled Fox Sports 1. The channel launched on August 17, 2013.

FS1 New Logo

Since June 2015, a new wordmark was slowly introduced, beginning alongside a redesigned ticker, before being used during college football broadcasts and promotions. Starting in August 2015, the network officially began to be called on-air as FS1, with the network's social media pages adopting new logo and name on September 4, 2015.
