2010-2011; The still above shows the intro from a special edition broadcast from an HD capable studio in New York, broadcast ahead on the 2010 election. It featured Capital Hill in the place were the Lincoln Memorial was usually seen. When regular high-definition broadcasts from Washington started, the intro featured the regular image of Lincoln instead of Capitol Hill.
Face the Nation began broadcasting in high definition in July 2011, becoming the last Sunday morning talk show to do so.

Face the Nation launched a new intro and graphics package on its August 28, 2011 broadcast. The new intro kept the previous theme music and the logo remained, but was re-arranged. The color scheme switched to a more saturated red-white-and-blue.
