Version with "Drugs" used on matchbooks and promotional items.
This and the logo below were primarily used for Fay's store-branded items and were rarely used to identify the store outright.
1989–1997[]
In 1996, Fay's Drugs was sold to JCPenney for $285 million in stock. JCPenney merged its drugstore operations into Eckerd Corporation in 1997. Many of the original locations that have not been closed in favor of stand-alone Eckerd stores still feature the familiar Fay's aisle and pharmacy formats that served as models for drug chains nationwide.
