The "VENEZUELA" script was worn by the national team during the 1961 and 1965 Bolivarian Games, the World Cup qualifiers in 1965 and 1969, on the left breast of the jerseys. At the 1978 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the 1979 Copa America and the 1979 Pre-Olympic tournament in Cali, a similar logo was worn by the team on the center of the shirts.
Asociación Nacional de Futbol changed name to Federación Venezolana de Fútbol in 1951 and a year later, was affiliated to FIFA. In 1952, a logo consisting in an escutcheon with three vertical bands in yellow, blue and red and a white football with hexagonal panels, originally with a sewing on the center, was designed and adopted. However, in some years, such as 1954, 1965, 1980 and 1982, as well as during the 1983 Panamerican Games in Caracas, the national team wore the Venezuelan Olympic Commitee's emblem.
