Ferronor is a Chilean railway company that operates the former Red Norte (Northern Network) of the Empresa de los Ferrocarriles del Estado (EFE). It was created in 1988 after EFE gave all the Red Norte to Corfo (Corporación de Fomento de la Producción, a Chilean State development agency) in order to create a new company called Ferrocarril del Norte S.A., and in 1997 it was privatised by selling the company to APCO (Andres Pirazzoli y Cía Ltda).
