The Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Bogotá (Ibero-American Theater Festival of Bogotá) is a biannual international theater festival held in Bogota, Colombia and it is considered one of the most important events of its kind around the world.
The Festival was founded in Bogota in the year of 1988 by Argentine-Colombian actress Fanny Mikey (1930-2008), as an event to celebrate the 450th anniversary of the foundation of the city. Mikey commissioned Colombian artist Antonio Grass (1937-), who is known for his designs based on Colombian native culture's art, to create a logo for this first edition and the promotional poster. Grass created the logo based on the Comedy and Tragedy Masks of Theater and Pre-Columbian motives.
The logo was eventually used as part of the institutional brand of the organization in charge of the organization of the festival, the Corporación Festival Iberoaméricano de Bogotá.
