The company was established as Fabbrica Italiana di Automobili Torino (Italian Automobiles Factory Turin), but still bore the name FIAT.

The FIAT becomes more prominent, but the full name remains.

The badge becomes an oval plated shape.

The wreathed circle makes a return to celebrate FIAT's 100th anniversary. At first, was used only at the front face of its cars until 2002; and later, at the entire car.

Fiat started to use just the wordmark - extracted from the shield - on the rear of its vehicles and advertising. There are plans to replace the shield completely at its cars and apply this logo worldwide soon.
2020-present
After the reveal of their new 500e city car, FIAT have started using a slightly redesigned version of the wordmark with the letters being straightened out this time. So far, it's only been featured online to promote the new 500e and as a badge on the rear of the new electric city car.
