From 2007 to 2013, the logo was stylized as Go!Animate, leading numerous users to wrongly refer to the site as such. This practice continued well after the 2013 logo was introduced, and possibly survives into the present day.

To better signify its shift to a business-oriented animation site, GoAnimate was renamed to Vyond on May 6, 2018. Nevertheless, the GoAnimate name continues to exist as GoAnimate, Inc. with Vyond serving as a trademark of the company.
