Beam Software[]
1991-1995[]
Beam Software was founded in 1980 as the game development subsidiary of Melbourne House. In 1987, when Melbourne House was purchased by Virgin Games, Beam Software was split off into its own company. However, Beam Software did not have an official logo until 1991.
1995-2000[]
In 1996, the trademark for Melbourne House became abandoned because Virgin Interactive Entertainment did not renew it. Beam Software immediately bought the Melbourne House trademark and revived it as their game publishing label in 1997. However, they sold the Melbourne House trademark to Infogrames in 1999, who rebranded it to Infogrames Melbourne House.
Blaze International Limited[]
2000-present[]
In 2000, Beam Software quit the gaming market entirely and rebranded as Blaze International Limited, a service for telecommunication, game development and Internet applications.
