In September 1999, Channel 5 changed its identity, with the logo bursting through a canopy of different materials, such as metal bolts, paper, and puzzle pieces. Several celebrities of Channel 5 are also featured in the idents.

2000 Idents[]
In September 2000, Channel 5 refeshed the "Paper Canopy" ident by adding tints of color to it. Once again, celebrities were featured in the idents, but they were dropped in 2001.
