ZYB 511 (Canal 4) also known as TV Globo and Globo Rio was founded on April 26, 1965, by Roberto Marinho, president of the parent company, Grupo Globo at the time; the callsign was ZYD 81 before 1976. It is the main station of its homonym Brazilian TV network.
