A nearly-identical logo was used during that period by then-sister station KTTV in Los Angeles.
1977–1984[]
This logo was also shared by then-sister station KTTV, which used this until 1981.
1979[]
On March 5, 1979, WTCN-TV lost its independent status when it joined NBC. This logo would be short-lived, as the NBC "Trapezoid N" would be replaced by the "Proud N" logo later that year.

1983–1985[]
This logo is similar in design to the one used by WPIX in New York City, sans the circle. The "11" used in this logo has been retained since then, having survived two callsign changes.

1985–1986[]
The WUSA call letters lasted only one year on this station; as Gannett (now split as Tegna) would move the calls to the former WDVM-TV in Washington, D.C. on July 4, 1986; the WDVM-TV callsign has been used by a station in Hagerstown, Maryland since 2017.
