In 1996, KSWO-TV dropped the original G. Dean Smith Circle 7 logo during that year in favor of a newly designed version. The current circle 7 logo looks very similar to the logos used by Sunbeam Television-owned Fox affiliate WSVN in Miami-Ft. Lauderdale and independent (then affiliated with NBC when it was introduced) station WHDH in Boston.
A similar circle 7 is also used by sister station WWSB (channel 40) in Sarasota, albeit with the 7 being thicker than KSWO-TV uses.
