In 1962, Ringo Starr joined The Beatles as the band's drummer (replacing Pete Best) and later released their debut album Please Please Me in 1963. The iconic "Drop-T" logo was designed by drum designer Ivor Arbiter, it was commonly seen in Ringo's drum-kit but it was also used in promotional material and other types of media.

While The Beatles officially disbanded on April 10, 1970 (although Lennon left on September 20, 1969) the logo is still used in merchandise and old album's re-releases.
