2004–present[]
World of Warcraft released on November 23, 2004. This logo has been used since 2004 and continues to be used when talking about World of Warcraft in general, aside from the current expansion.
2007–2008[]
For the release of the first expansion pack, The Burning Crusade, the a majority of the logo was changed to a green hue to represent the expansion.
2008–2010[]
For the release of the second expansion pack, Wrath of the Lich King, the logo was changed to a lighter blue hue with some snow and ice effect adorning the frame.
2010–2012[]
For the release of the third expansion pack, Cataclysm, the logo was changed to a red hue, with the globe modified to resemble a "Scorched Earth" style. The frame also received some damage and some fire effects were added to the background.
2012–2014[]
For the release of the fourth expansion pack, Mists of Pandaria, the logo was changed to a Sea-Green hue, with some Cloud Serpents adorning the sides of the frame.
2014–2015[]
The logo for the fifth expansion pack, Warlords of Draenor was revealed on November 8, 2013. The logo adopts a wood-paneling background with brackets along the sides of the frame. The globe has been darkened to a smoke/black colour mix and the frame has also received some minor damage and cracking. Also, the globe has a map of Draenor instead of Azeroth.
2016–2017[]
The logo for the sixth expansion pack, Legion was revealed at gamescom 2015.
2018–2020[]
The logo for the seventh expansion, Battle for Azeroth was revealed on November 3, 2017 at BlizzCon.
2020–2022[]
The logo for the eighth expansion, Shadowlands was revealed on November 1, 2019 at BlizzCon.
2022–2024[]
The logo for the ninth expansion, Dragonflight was revealed on April 19, 2022 in an online event. While the layout remains the same, a vastly different background shape with a winged motif was used, and the expansion title has no background for the first time in a primary logo. The "World" font has had some minor tweaks (most noticeable in the R and L), and the "of" inside the O has been enlarged.

The Worldsoul Saga is a multi-expansion storyline, revealed at BlizzCon 2023.
