Force Operation X (FOX) was a covert operations unit of the Central Intelligence Agency in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. It was established in 1964 to handle infiltration and espionage black ops. FOX was later disbanded in 1970.
