GMA Pinoy TV is a 24-hr global pay TV channel owned by GMA Network and operated by its subsidiaries, GMA International and GMA Worldwide, Inc. Launched in March 2005 in Japan then in some parts of the United States, the channel's programming consists of shows aired on the main network in the Philippines, as well as previously aired programs, drama series from GMA Entertainment Group, newscasts from GMA Integrated News, documentaries from GMA Public Affairs, movies from GMA Pictures plus other Philippine movie production studios, and sports events from GMA Sports under Synergy.
