TVG 2002

Global TV was launched in 2002 by Bimantara Citra (now Global Mediacom), and since 2003 owned by its subsidiary Media Nusantara Citra.

On its early broadcast, it had aired much of MTV Southeast Asia's programs as well as MTV-branded local contents until 2012. On 11 January 2005, Global TV started to produce its non-MTV original shows and later became a new home of Nickelodeon shows which previously aired in Lativi.

Global TV 2006

On 13 October 2006, one year after became full-fledged general entertainment channel, Global TV changed its logo on its 4th birthday. The logo consisted of green-orange-blue curves resembling G shape on a top of blue 'Global' and green uppercase 'TV' text.

Global TV 2008

On 2008, Global TV modified its logo by putting "G" shape into a blue sphere next to a new all-lowercase blue 'globaltv' text.

Global TV 2012

On 2012, the G-globe logo was replaced by a simple red-blue colored wordmark, identical to its siblings, MNCTV and SindoTV (now iNews).

GTV (2017)

On 11 October 2017, along with its 15th anniversary celebration, GlobalTV was renamed to GTV and unveiled a new logo, which the letter G was criticized for being similar to Google's G icon in 2015.

It actually resembles its 2006 logo and the colors on G shape was based on its parent Media Nusantara Citra's diamond mark.
