London Gatwick Airport is an airport serving the London region along with five other airports, and the second-busiest, after Heathrow Airport. It is also the second-busiest airport in the world to use only one runway, after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai (Gatwick was the busiest until 2017).
The airport was operated solely by Global Infrastructure Partners until 2018, when the French airport operator Vinci Airports bought a 51% stake in it.
