In 1959, General Mills introduced the first iteration of their famous Big G, which doubly stands for goodness. It was revived in 2024 for the throwback revival of Twinkles Cereal.
In June 1963, the G symbol was updated, and was introduced alongside a new logo.

Near the end of 2003, they reverted back to the 1963 Big G symbol. Though mostly being replaced by 2017, this can still be seen on Bugles packaging and shipping boxes for General Mills products.
