The company was established in 1902 as La Tondeña, Inc., named after Tondo, a district located in Manila. They acquired the Ayala Distillery (Destilería Ayala) in 1924, making them the producers of Ginebra San Miguel, the flagship product to this day.
They did not have a proper corporate logo until 1962. It shows one of their distilleries on the logo. This logo shows on ads of their products as well as promotional material.
