Girl Scouts 1978
Designer:  Saul Bass
Typography:  ITC Korinna Bold
Launched:  November 13, 1978

The Saul Bass-designed logo was first presented on October 25, 1978 to the Girl Scout convention in Denver, Colorado, and was introduced on November 13, 1978. It has become a textbook example of the use of whitespace in graphic design, combining the trefoil symbol - which had been used by the organization for decades - with the silhouettes of three girls.
