GEM[]
1988–1994?[]

The AM frequencies of Radio Trent in both Nottingham & Derby were relaunched as GEM-AM on October 3rd 1988. The Leicester Sound AM frequency also took this service until 1994 when that frequency became a full-time Asian service.
GEM stood for "Great East Midlands" not "Gold East Midlands" which is what many people thought it stood for.
1994?–1997[]

GWR bought the service in 1994 but all that changed at this point was a slightly revamped logo.
