Development on Google Earth started in 2001 as Keyhole EarthViewer, with its initial release being on June 11, 2001. later, in October 2004, it was acquired by Google and renamed to Google Earth. This logo can be still seen at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum.

2010–2013[]

Google Apps changed its logo on November 15, 2010, to coincide with Google's new logo, so Google Earth along with other apps got its new logo. With this, Google also introduced a new layout in all its services on the same day, including Gmail.
2013–2014, 2014–2017 (secondary)[]

2014–2017[]
This logo first appeared on the Android 5.0 Lollipop Google Earth app. It was used for all versions of Google Earth from 2014 to 2017.
2017–present[]

This logo has been used for all versions of Google Earth other than Pro since April 18, 2017.
