As of September 2024, Grandes Eventos had been replaced many times in Canal 13's programming: first with the soap opera Cromosoma 21, later with the prime-time program El Purgatorio, the gameshow ¡Qué dice Chile! Prime and De tú a tú, leaving the movie block as a sort-of "filler" when no primary programs are broadcast. Most movie programs moved to the existing Domingo de película and to a similar block, Sábado de película. However, it is unconfirmed if Grandes Eventos was officially cancelled.
