On June 15, 2021, Grubhub was acquired by Just Eat Takeaway.com. To reflect the ownership at the time, Grubhub adopted the orange house icon and color scheme of its then-parent company on July 29, 2021.
At the same time, Grubhub announced it would transition Seamless, its brand in New York City, to the Grubhub brand over time, but these plans never materialized, as the Seamless brand remains active.[1]
Just Eat Takeaway.com announced the sale of Grubhub to Wonder Group on November 13, 2024, completed on January 7, 2025.
