On November 9, 2019, Grupo Globo's executive president Jorge Nóbrega stated that the project called "Uma Só Globo" ("One Globo"), presented in October 2018 and running by Accenture. Since January 2020, all Grupo Globo companies belonging to its Globo Comunicação e Participações subgroup were merged into a single company branded simply "Globo", while Editora Globo, Infoglobo, Sistema Globo de Rádio, and Fundação Roberto Marinho will remain as standalone companies.
The new logo - first shown in September 14, 2020, and later in October 13 - will inherit Rede Globo's iconic symbol - created by Hans Donner - but featuring an new wordmark - named Globobrand, based by former Globoplay 2018 logo - which will be used gradually by all its vehicles, replacing the classic 1975 AvantGarde-inspired wordmark (Rede Globo Bold) - also made by Hans Donner.
The first subsidiary under this new brand strategy was its sports website Globoesporte.com, renamed as GE in July 22, 2020. In August 31, by introducing live streaming of pay TV channels, Globoplay refreshed its logo, now featuring Globobrand. This also afected Globosat and its TV Everywhere service, both rebranded as Canais Globo in September 15. In October 26, GExperience - a multimedia thematic complex located inside a mall in São Paulo - is announced, currently scheduled to open in April 2021. The rebrand apex is expected to happen in January or April 2021, times of year when Rede Globo usually makes its logo changes.
