It was never used in North America prior to the releases of video games on the Virtual Console due to the HAI logo interfering with the whole lifespan of this logo in this region. Once the HAI logo has been discontinued, the HALKEN logo is used instead.
HALKEN[]
1991–1998 (primary), 1998-1999 (secondary)[]
It was first used in North America in 1992. Its latest confirmed use is Kirby no Kirakira Kids on the Super Famicom, which was released in 1998 for the Nintendo Power cartridge and released on June 25, 1999 for its Super Famicom cartridge. Its latest confirmed use in North America is Kirby's Dream Land 3 released on November 27, 1997 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (released for the Super Famicom in February 1998). Its latest confirmed use in Europe is Kurby's Star Stacker released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in January 1997 (released on the Super Famicom on March 20, 1996, and in North America on September 20, 1996). It was also seen on Kirby's Dream Course, but not on Kirby's Avalanche despite a copyright notice saying "COPYRIGHT (C) 1995 HAL LABORATORY, INC./NINTENDO".
Please note that while it is being used for the SNES video games, it was not used for games released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (e.g. Kirby's Adventure) or Game Boy (e.g. Kirby's Dream Land, Kirby's Dream Land 2, Kirby's Pinball Land, Kirby's Block Ball, Kirby's Star Stacker) despite those copyright notices saying "Copyright (c) [COPYRIGHT YEAR] HAL Laboratory Inc."
