HBO 2 was launched as HBO Comedy in October 2007.

An HD simulcast was launched on March 7, 2013.^[1]

With the release of HBO 3 in the Balkan countries on March 21, 2016, HBO Comedy became HBO 2.

In October 2025, HBO 2's Balkanic feed merged with the Romanian, Czech and Hungarian feeds.
