Haken is a progressive metal band from London, England. Since the release of their first album in 2010, the band has released some of the greatest progressive metal records of the 2010s, such as Aquarius (2010), Visions (2011), The Mountain (2013), and Affinity (2016).
2007-2010: Pre-Aquarius[]
Before the release of their debut album, Aquarius, the only use of Haken's name in print was on their 2007 demo, Enter the 5th Dimension.
At this time, the band used the name of the group in the Quake font as their logo.

2010-2013: Aquarius and Visions[]
After the release of Aquarius in 2010, the band started using a modified version of the

font El Diablo for their logo which would be featured on the album covers of both Aquarius and their follow-up album Visions in 2011 and on their website.
The band would also use the logo as the background for many of their gigs across the UK, with it often being too tall to be shown properly due to the lack of size in many of the venues the band played at while they were still in their infancy.
The band occasionally uses this logo to this day.
2013-2016: The Mountain and Restoration[]
By 2013, Haken had changed their musical style and with that, they brought in a new logo. The new logo they used was a simple sans serif font.

The logo and typeface would carry over to their follow-up EP the next year, Restoration (2014).
2016-2018: Affinity and L-1VE[]
Once again, Haken's logo changed with their style of music. This time, it changed to reflect the 80s love letter that was Affinity (2016).
The logo used for Affinity and L-1VE is in Bauhaus heavy bold and often contained beige lines at the bottom, similar to the 80s sun design used as Affinity's logo. The Bauhaus logo would later be re-adapted in late 2018 for the band's fifth studio album, Vector.

2018-Present: Vector and Virus[]
Since 2018, the band has used an adaptation of the Bauhaus logo from Affinity for their logo. The most noticeable differences are the straighter lines in the K and the N. After Vector, the band reverted back to the logo from L-1VE for their additional live EP, L+1VE, but then brought back the Vector logo for their 2020 album, Virus.
