In 1987, Halfords launched a new logo with the 'O' looking like a bolt pin. In 1989, Boots acquired Halfords.
1994–2003[]
In 1994, the font of the 'bolt pin' logo was slightly updated.
2001–2016[]
In 2001, Halfords dropped the blue, white and red branding, in favour of a new black and orange logo, but it did not come into effect until 2003, a year after Boots sold off the chain. This added tweaks, like changing from uppercase to lowercase and changing the 'o' from a bolt into a tyre.

In 2014, Halfords began using a new logo quite a few of their retail stores. However, it seems the redesign was later scrapped. The logo can still be seen at some stores to this day.
