Released by Bungie as part of the public press kit following MacWorld New York 1999. Still used on the spine cover, game disc and demos, trailers, main menu, and the official soundtrack, which uses the later logo without the subtitle.

The subtitle was added by then-parent company Microsoft shortly before its official release to make it more descriptive.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary[]
2011, 2014, 2020[]
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is the HD remake for the Xbox 360 released on November 15, 2011, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection released for the Xbox One in 2014, and released for PC in 2020 as an update to people who own The Master Chief Collection on PC and as a standalone game you can buy on Steam, and Microsoft Store, and Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox.
