Legacy: It is the first logo from the company to be animated. The early 1967 and 1969 versions were not remembered as the common 1967 version.

1974–1979[]

Trivia: This logo is used on backgrounds of the end titles of The Scooby-Doo Show (blue) and Dynomutt, Dog Wonder (red).

Legacy: Many years later, Warner Bros. Animation would do a modernised version of this logo.

1988–1992[]

Trivia: Basically, this is the Taft swirling star as seen on the Taft International Pictures logo, only rainbow coloured. The logo was designed by Saul Bass.

Legacy: Perhaps Hanna-Barbera's most famous closing logo. It's a favourite among people who grew up watching TV during this time or watching Hanna-Barbera's shows on Cartoon Network in the 1990s. It was referenced many years later by its successor, Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe.

Bylines:

  • September 8, 1979-January 31, 1981: “A TAFT BROADCASTING COMPANY” (in a white font)
  • September 12, 1981-May 20, 1986: “A DIVISION OF THE TAFT ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY”
  • In 1982, the 1981 byline was altered/amended with "A DIVISION OF" over "THE TAFT ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY". In 1983, the 1981 byline appears in a large yellow font, and the logo appears smaller in this version.
  • June 7, 1990: "A GREAT AMERICAN BROADCASTING COMPANY"
  • Post-1988 prints of H-B shows from this era often have the Taft byline blacked out.

1998–2002[]

Trivia: Despite Hanna-Barbera stopped using the "Swirling Star" logo in most of its productions after 1992, it was later reused for The Powerpuff Girls until its fourth season, begin the only original Cartoon Network show to use it in contrast to the other cartoons of the same brand that had their own costumed Hanna-Barbera logos (see below).

Legacy: While it never reached the popularity of its predecessor, this is a fairly well-remembered logo for people who grew up during this period or those watching Cartoon Network/Boomerang reruns of this era of TV programming.

Bylines:

  • September 6, 1986-July 16, 1988: "A DIVISION OF THE TAFT ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY"
  • September 10, 1988-1992; December 15, 1997: (Bylineless; Great American Broadcasting era)
  • November 18, 1998-February 9, 2001, April 3, 2001, April 20, 2001: "A Time Warner Company"

1993–1994[]

1994–1997[]

Designer:  Fred Seibert
Typography:  Unknown
Launched:  September 3, 1994

Trivia: This logo was designed and animated by Fred Seibert. First seen on SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron. Last seen on the Malcom and Melvin short "Babe He Calls Me".

Legacy: This logo is well-remembered for its combination of 2D and CGI animation, as well as the concept of seeing many of Hanna-Barbera's beloved characters. However, it's considered annoying by some for plastering over previous (and even later) logos.

1995–2002[]

Hanna Barbera Fred Flintstone
Designer:  Hatmaker
Typography:  Unknown
Launched:  September 2, 1995

Trivia: First seen as an in-credit logo on The What-a-Cartoon! Show, the standalone version was first seen on the short The Chicken from Outer Space, and first seen regularly on the premiere of Cow & Chicken. However, the Dino variant debuted in the back side of the studio's calendar in 1993. Also, the Dexter variant debuted on the 1995 book, The World of Hanna-Barbera and an advertisement. Following the absorption of Hanna-Barbera into Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios in 2001, some Cartoon Network shows that were still running during that time like Johnny Bravo and Dexter's Laboratory discontinued their costumed logos in favor of using the then current Cartoon Network Studios at the end credits. It was last seen on season 3 of Johnny Bravo.

Bylines:
