Hannibal TV (Arabic: قناة حنبعل) is the first private satellite channel in Tunisia. The channel was founded in 13 February 2005 by the late Tunisian businessman, Larbi Nasra. The channel bears the name of the famous Carthaginian commander Hannibal.
At its peak, it was the most watched Tunisian TV channel in 2007 and since 2008, it gained more advertising revenues than both public channels TV7 Tunisia and Tunisie 21 combined.

This logo seems to not have been used when the channel launched, but they still used it on their website and at their headquarters.

In 2008, the Hannibal TV group launched two new channels: Hannibal Asharq, devoted to Arab dramas, and Hannibal Elferdaws, devoted to religious programs, but they only lasted 2 years due to financial issues.

The logo became bolder and now had the tagline Sawt El Shaeb (‘The Voice Of The People’) corresponding to the Tunisian 2011 Revolution and Zine el Abidine Ben Ali's ouster.

In June 2019, Nessma El Jadida was ordered to shut down by HAICA and the team of the channel (Hannibal TV) feared that it would happen to them too so they closed its doors on July 3, 2019. Despite Nessma not closing that year, Hannibal didn't relaunch until October 2, 2020.
Inevitably, just like what happened to Nessma El Jadida, on October 29, 2021, the channel was ordered to shut down by Tunisia's broadcasting regulator, which said it was operating without a license, and its studios were also raided by Tunisian state security forces, and may have been politically motivated due to its owner being a controversial political figure. The seizure was also sudden as the network had been unlicensed for years, but no action had been previously been taken.
The channel was officially relaunched 2 months later after a negotiation between the representatives of the channel and the president of HAICA and being granted a temporary license of the channel.
