The stylized H had been used with the 1960 script logo since late 1967.

1976–1999, 2018

Hardee's 1976.svg

Used from 1976 to 1999 and was usually depicted in orange with a brown or blue background. This logo was also briefly used during the "Tastes Like America" campaign in 2018, Then they went back with a modified script logo. During the 21 years that this logo was used, there were several modifications. At first, it was presented with the words "Charbroil Burgers" underneath. That was later removed. An orange lettering with brown background was used up until the late 80's. Then it was changed to a 3D orange and black lettering effect with a blue background. A later background had the rainbow sunrise background.  After CKE Restaurants purchased Hardee's in 1997, a transitional logo was used that added the CKE Restaurants "Star" to the 1976 logo.  While not used on outdoor or building signage, it was used on some internal paperwork and ads.

1999–2006

After Hardee's was acquired by CKE Restaurants in 1997, in 1999 the star from the Carl's Jr. logo was introduced into Hardee's chain of restaurants albeit tilted to the left a little, along with the wordmark utilizing a similar font from its sister logo. The now-sister chain had since then been referred to some as the "Carl's Jr. of the East coast". This logo can still be seen at most older locations.

2006–2017

When Carl's Jr.'s logo was changed in 2006, Hardee's adopted that same exact change, albeit with Hardee's name instead of Carl's Jr.'s and "Thickburgers" instead of simply "Burgers". There are two versions of this logo as far as "star" placement goes... the first has the star used in place of the apostrophe between the "e" and the "s". The second, more widely used, has the star in front of the "H". This logo can still be seen at every location.

2017–2018

Along with Carl's Jr.'s logo change and a new campaign on March 29, 2017 with the fictional Carl Hardee Sr. (which also involved the red background being removed), Hardee's once again, took suit with the foundation from its sister chain's new logo, but again, with Hardee's name in place of Carl's Jr.'s. It's still used on some packaging at some locations.

Once again when Carl's Jr. changed their logo, Hardee's does the same. But the star has the eyebrows back, the r & s was also modified, and they also have a new slogan. "Hardee's 'Cause It Tastes Better". In 2020, Hardee's changed their slogan again to, "Feed your happy." This is used nationwide.
