Hindustan Unilever Limited

In June 2007, Hindustan Lever Limited (HLL) was renamed to Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), and a new logo was introduced. The script font used to write ‘Unilever’ was now extended to ‘Hindustan’ and ‘Limited’ on either side of it. This made India the only country to have a logo different from the parent Unilever logo, though some brands have replaced the HUL logo with the Unilever logo on their products starting in 2013, while others continue to use the HUL logo.

From 2007 to 2011, television commercials for HUL products displayed the HUL logo full-screen at the end of the commercial. In 2011, this was replaced by the international Unilever logo ‘unrolling’ from the top right corner of the screen at the end of the advertisement, as is the case in other countries (this animation is similar to that used by Emirates Airline). In 2012, the Unilever logo animation was replaced by one with the Hindustan Unilever logo, which is used to the present day.
