Hispano-Suiza was a Spanish automotive engineering company and, after World War II, a French manufacturer of aviation engines and components. It is best known for its luxury cars and aviation engines before World War II. They stopped making cars in 1936, but their aviation portion was active until 1968, when it was merged with Messier to make Messier-Hispano.

In 2010, in an attempt to reopen the brand, the "Maguari" model was created, which produced few cars and the reopening failed.
2019–2021[]
In 2019, with the re-creation of the Hispano-Suiza Carmen (original car from 1938) the brand successfully reopened.
